Nancy Williams has coordinated the Owatonna Football Team’s Cancer Fundraiser each year since 2011 and has helped raise more than $28,000.00. 

This year all proceeds will support the Tackle Cancer statewide Fundraiser through Randy Shaver. The Tackle Cancer Football Game is scheduled for Friday Sept. 29, the same night as Homecoming. 

Fans will have the opportunity to donate to the Tackle Cancer fund as they enter the stadium.

This year’s event will feature a raffle with the opportunity for fans to win an assortment of Owatonna Huskies football apparel as well as a team football signed by all members of the 2023 Class 5A state championship football team.

There will also be a 50/50 drawing with winners announced at halftime. Tickets are just $5.

Williams is also encouraging people to consider purchasing a Huskies Tackle Cancer t-shirt or sweatshirt from the Court Sports online link (below) by Friday Sept. 22 and wear it to the game on Sept. 29 against Rochester Century.
